Hoodies have had a bad rap in the press over recent years. Unfortunately, even the term "hoodie" conjurs up negative feelings.

This type of clothing was once boringly known as a "hooded sweatshirt" and really became fashionable in the 1970's in America when many universities started printing their name on the front.
